The Measurement Chain for quality, efficiency and costWith industry timeframes for development and manufacturing getting ever tighter, the demand for ‘right first time’ engineering leaves little time for noise and vibration measurements. However, with the complete Brüel & Kjær measurement chain, you can be sure of high quality measurements for your project, while saving both time and costs.
When considering the quality of your measurements, you first need to select the right accelerometer for the job. Brüel & Kjær accelerometers are designed for high accuracy, long-term stability, superb frequency response (even at low frequencies), and low inherent noise.
By using Brüel & Kjær’s ‘plug-and-play’ accelerometers with Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) on your PULSE system, you can minimise the time it takes to set up a multi-channel system, which can be complex. This also reduces the risk of typing errors occurring when swapping accelerometers between different channels – increasing efficiency and enhancing quality.
During the measurement phase, our unique response equalisation technology (REq-X) provides you with more accurate measurements and a wider frequency range (extending the upper frequency limit by up to 50%). This allows you to expand the application range of your accelerometer, which can save the cost of using an extra accelerometer to cover your bandwidth requirements.
Brüel & Kjær provides calibration services for your entire measurement system to ensure proper accreditation and traceability, covering everything from transducers to analysis software. When calibrated, TEDS-equipped accelerometers have their stored electronic data updated, providing your system with the most accurate sensitivity and frequency response information.
The seamless integration between Brüel & Kjær transducers, LAN-XI hardware and PULSE software ensures the optimum measurement solution in terms of quality, efficiency and cost.
